HE/HIM

Filmmaker/Writer

AC Lamberty (he/him) is a trans fag filmmaker, writer and event producer. He creates work that subverts traditional notions of representation and puts gay/trans bodies and sexuality at the forefront, incorporating elements of horror and erotica. A born and raised Midwesterner, AC’s Minnesotan roots and Los Angeles queer young adulthood inform his characters and POV. His short films and screenplays have received top honors from film festivals across the U.S., including NewFest, Hollyshorts, the Nashville and Omaha Film Festivals, QueerWrites and Roze Filmdagen. AC is a 2024 New Roots writer in residency, and was a 2022 Lambda Literary Writers Retreat for Emerging LGBT Voices screenwriting fellow. He is currently the co-host of the Feminist Frequency Radio podcast, a pop culture commentary and review podcast; in 2023, he hosted a capsule series for Feminist Frequency entitled Machos: Fully Loaded, focusing on masculinity in cinema. As a producer and organizer, AC produces queer nightlife events in the Los Angeles area, and works as the program coordinator for entertainment advocacy non-profit ReFrame. See more of AC’s work at www.aclamberty.com.
