Jenna is a stage director, tv/film writer, and arts activist whose work centers on LGBTQIA+ history and visibility. Directing work includes: The Heidi Chronicles (Broadway), The Parisian Woman (Broadway), Bryna Turner's At The Wedding (Lincoln Center Theater, NYT Critic’s Pick), Thornton Wilder’s Our Town featuring an entirely TGNC ensemble (Pride Plays); Emily Zemba’s Superstitions (The Pool Plays), Ren Dara Santiago’s The Siblings Play (Rattlestick), C.A. Johnson’s The Climb (Cherry Lane), Catya McMullen’s Agnes (Lesser America, NYT Critic’s Pick), Amy Herzog’s Belleville (Pasadena Playhouse), Boo Killebrew’s Summer’s Soldier (Williamstown), Pia Scala-Zankel’s Street Children (Vertigo Theater, NYT Critic’s Pick), Martyna Majok’s The First Immigrant (Williamstown), Gun Country (A.R.T./New York), Eve Ensler’s V-Day Taconic for the Women’s Prison Association, and Here to Be Seen for the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Re-Entry Taskforce. Jenna is the recipient of a Drama League Fellowship, a Jonathan Alper Award (MTC), and The Eugene O’Neill Center’s National Directing Fellowship. She is the Co-creator of The Homebound Project in partnership with No Kid Hungry, and the Co-founder of Creative Solutions, a residency program at SPACE on Ryder Farm for human rights advocates. Jenna is a member of the Stage Directors & Choreographers Union (SDC), and represented by Emma Feiwel at William Morris Endeavor.
