She/They

Graphics Designer, Illustrator, and owner of Trash Queen

Paige McKinney is a graphic designer, illustrator, and all around maker located in Louisville, KY. She's the designer and owner of Trash Queen, an affordable, comfy, tacky clothing brand designed for weirdo art kids, unfriendly fat hotties, and The Gays™. Trash Queen is focused on size inclusivity, slow fashion, and clothing as art. Paige's collections are often inspired by her experiences--Trash Queen's Pastoral collection was a fun celebration of queer resilience and community growing up in the south, and Antiseptic was a tongue in cheek examination at the routine maintenance it takes to stay alive as a chronically ill/disabled person. Other pieces are inspired by Trash Queen's main artistic focus, contrasting attraction and repulsion, soft and hard, or gross and cute to make fun prints, and some pieces are just slightly quirky staple pieces, as the plus size fashion industry still has a long way to go in terms of giving funky fat people what they want to wear.

When not designing for Trash Queen, Paige likes working on design projects with small, ethically minded companies to help bring their visions to life. When not working (which let's be honest--Paige is almost always working!) she likes to unwind with her partner Alison and play video games or go to cookouts/picnics with her queer found family. (Sometimes a family is 4 bears in a polycule and one overdressed lesbian couple.)
